COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Master's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective The aim of this lesson is to examine the conceptual framework and the studies in the literature about how the conceptual bases of geometry and measuring concepts included in elementary and secondary mathematics curriculums occur, to provide to improve lesson contents which will support conceptual understanding about these topics and encourage students to higher levels of geometric thinking and to implement and experience these contents and to do research for learning these concepts.
Course Content Forming conceptual bases of geometry and measuring topics included in our national curriculum. Examining the model of geometric thinking levels. Examining theories on constructing geometry and measuring concepts by model of geometric thinking levels. Examining literature on constructing geometry and measuring concepts by model of geometric thinking levels. Designing and implementing lesson contents about constructing geometry and measuring concepts. Preparing research proposal about teaching these concepts and realizing the research.
