COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Master's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective Raising individuals who are sensitive to the environment and who protect nature and living things depends on learning well the biology subjects that examine living things and their environments. For this reason, biology subjects are of great importance in Science programs in our country as well as in all education systems. Science Education within the field of biology, metabolic activities in cells, tissues, organs, systems and their functioning are the basic subjects to be known. These issues should be addressed at a higher level than undergraduate level education, taking into account the stated reasons and on the basis of relating the subjects to daily life.
Course Content Review of the basic biology subjects in the primary school science curriculum within the curriculum. In this process, basic biology topics such as Metabolism, organic and inorganic compounds, cell and cellular structures, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, chemosynthesis, animal and vegetable tissues, systems in animals, reproduction and development in living systems, basic principles of heredity.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Explain the metabolism events, inorganic and organic substances.
2Explain the cell structure and the functions of organelles.
3Explain the cellular respiration, photosynthesis and chemosynthesis.
4Explain the basic principles of heredity with examples. Explain mutations and types.
5Classify plant and animal tissues and explain their differences.
6Explain the reproduction, fertilization and embryonic development in human.
7Explain the reproduction (sexual and asexual) in plants
8Explain the systems in mammals.
9Defines the ability to use in interdisciplinary studies by explaining the methods of accessing, evaluating and interpreting information, as well as expanding and deepening the knowledge based on science education undergraduate degree qualifications
