Course Objective To reveal the difficulties and reasons for understanding the issues related to genetics, which come to the fore as difficult to understand subjects from basic biology subjects. To teach prospective science teachers the importance of subjects related to Genetics and Molecular Biology in science teaching, which are extremely important in today's world. Socioscientific and ethical evaluation of genetic issues in science teaching.
Course Content Genetic concepts, DNA structure, replication, gene and protein relationship, gene expression, mitosis and meiosis division, cytological principles of inheritance, mendel genetics, genetic interactions, sex-related inheritance, mutations, which are among the basic biology subjects in primary education programs, to be considered in more detail.
