Course Objective Understanding of Molecular Biology-related subjects and their usage areas, which are very important in the developing world, by science teacher candidates and emphasizing their importance in science teaching.
Course Content Cytological principles of heredity, Mendelian genetics. Genetic interactions. Sex-related inheritance. Mutations. DNA structure, DNA isolation, Agarose gel electrophoresis and basic PCR techniques, gene structure and function. Biotechnology and its application areas.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Explains the structure of DNA, RNA and chromosomes
2Explain the genetic material isolation methods.
3Explain the basic principles of heredity with examples. Explain mutations and types.
4It defines reaching, evaluating and interpreting information by carrying out scientific research, together with the expansion and deepening of the knowledge based on science education undergraduate degree qualifications.
5The student collects and interprets data about his / her research field in the field of Science Education.
6Constructs a problem in the field of Science Education independently, develops a solution method, evaluates the results, and applies problem-solving skills in interdisciplinary studies.
