Course Objective At the end of the course the students will be able to analyzing the structure of the learning and teaching theories and they will be able to utilize them in curriculum development process.
Course Content Basic Terms: Behavior, Learning and Teaching; Predominantly Functionalistic Theories; Predominantly Associationistic Theories; Predominantly Cognitive Theories; A Predominantly Neurophysiological Theory; An Evolutionary Theory; Teaching Approaches: Teacher-oriented Approaches, Learner-centered Approaches; The Impact of the Learning and Teaching Theories on the Special Fields; Integrating Teaching and Research

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students will be able to exemplify the meanings of the terms related with the theories of learning and teaching
2Students will be able to comprehend the principles of the learning theories
3Students will be able to interpret the relationships between the learning theories and the teaching approaches
4Students will be able to use the principles of the learning theories to analyze the needs of target audience
5Students will be able to evaluate the candidate goals and objectives in curriculum design according to principles of the learning theories.
6Students will be able to determine the proper teaching approaches for curriculum design
7Students will be able to planning the teaching activities properly in curriculum design
8Students will be able to interpret the program outcomes by utilizing the learning and teaching theories
9Students will be able to detect the educational problems based on the learning and teaching theories
10Students will be able to establish relationships between the educational practices and research on the learning and teaching.
