Course Objective
The aim of this course is to examine the interdisciplinary relations of architecture and art; how the conception of art has changed and evolved, and to be able to interpret and evaluate contemporary art approaches through their relations with architecture. Within the scope of the course, important art and architecture works; their relations with their social, political, economic and cultural contexts and aesthetics will be analyzed. The aim is to provide the student to interpret the visual and semantical analysis of the art / design work. In this context, the course is constructed on the epistemology of the interaction between art and architecture, accompanied by art theories. In addition the purpose is to give information to the students about the institutions, policies and mechanisms, supporting the arts and architecture collaboration in Turkey.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course, remarkable art and architecture works; their relations with their social, political, economic and cultural contexts and aesthetics will be analyzed. The aim is to provide the student to interpret the visual and semantical analysis of the art / design work.
