Course Objective
The aim of the course is to investigate various forms of expression and representation of this theoretical knowledge in the practical field, as well as the production of theoretical knowledge carried out in graduate studies in architecture. The 'Studio of Cultural Practices in Architecture' aims to identify potential and problems caused by interactions between culture and space, to establish a relationship between theory and practice, and to search for solutions in an interdisciplinary framework. Studio evaluates architectural design as an analysis environment, aims to examine new architectural cultural environments and relationships, and to create a new spatial and intellectual environment.
Course Content
Within the scope of the studio; In the context of city, culture, housing and art, it aims to identify potential and problems caused by interactions between culture and space, to establish a relationship between theory and practice, and to investigate solutions in an interdisciplinary framework. While discussing the city, place and house context issues such as the conceptualization of today's daily life and cultural activities, transforming urban life, urban culture, urban housing experiences; aims to investigate the interdisciplinary production fields of architecture. An experimental discussion and thinking platform such as the art object, experience, and exhibition of the architectural space will also analyze the relationship between making experimental design and develop installation projects through biennials, which are artistic cultural communication activities.
