Course Objective The aim of this course is to inform students about biomaterials which is an interdisciplinary field; Biopolymers, biomaterials and composites, internalization of knowledge and developments about their applications in medicine and engineering.
Course Content Polymers, metals, ceramics, glasses and composite materials. Natural materials, medical biotextiles and fibers, bioabsorbable materials. Physicochemical surface modifications of materials used in medicine. and applications. Oropedic applications, dental implants, biomedical sensors and biosensors, cardiovascular medical devices.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
