Elective
Course Objective
The aim of the course is to learn how to design products suitable for shape and topology optimization that can be produced with new generation manufacturing methods in areas where lightness is important, such as in aviation and implants.
Course Content
Learning software used in generative design applications. Identifying a piece from industries where lightness is important. Redesign of this part using generative design methods. Comparison of the first part and the last part designed with generative design in terms of price, time, mass and production methods.
Prerequisites
No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1
Lightness and strength are of vital importance in parts used in aviation and implants. The lightness and durability of the parts used in these areas is extremely important in terms of both energy saving and human health. Students who take this course will be able to design products suitable for shape and topology optimization with generative design methods.
