Course Objective Understanding of mathematical and physical foundations of the finite element method, the shape function, in the field of rigid body mechanics to gain the ability to solve engineering problems with the finite element method, the sample problems via a commercial software finite element method constitutes the learning objectives of the course.
Course Content Introduction to the foundations of the finite element method, Bars and Trusses, Beams and Frames, Two-Dimensional Elasticity, Modeling and Solution Techniques, Plate and Shell Analyses, Three-Dimensional Elasticity, Structural Vibration and Dynamics, Thermal Analysis, Design Optimization, Failure Analysis, Introduction to Fluid Analysis.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Finite element method is widely used in every field of engineering. Today, many computers based on the method is fairly widespread use of the computer program provided by the users. The course for the solution of finite element methods to study mechanical engineering of complex systems is the output of learning and teaching.
