Course Objective Students are able to do exergy analysis, engineering processes and cycles and to learn economic evaluation methods.
Course Content Energy and business. Reversibility. The second law of thermodynamics and exergy. Exergy types. Exergy equation in closed and open systems. Exergy analysis of engineering processes and cycles. Economic evaluation methods. Cost of fuel and equipment. Cost equilibrium equation and cost of heat and work. Thermo-economic optimization.
