Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide a theoretical framework for the use of urban morphology in planning and urban design studies by presenting the basic approaches and techniques in the field of urban morphology, and to examine the typo-morphological analysis and historical-geographical approach in urban morphology.
Course Content Within the scope of this course, urban patterns will be defined; theoretical views on the socio-economic and historical-geographical change and transformation of the urban area and examples from the world and Turkey will be examined; typo-morphological and historical-geographical urban growth approaches and analysis techniques will be examined.
