Course Objective Introduction, conduction, convection, radiation, some definitions used in insulation calculations, insulation materials, properties of insulation material, produced in Turkey and some insulation materials belong to TS, places the use of insulation materials, calculations of Degree-day, Degree day regions in Turkey, calculations of heat insulation according to Degree day regions, calculation of annual energy cost and amount for heating the unit area (ceiling, floor, and external wall), total heating cost of insulated and uninsulated building, calculation of optimum insulation thickness, payback period, and different applications.
