Course Objective This lecture will provide information on the principles of textile dyeing, dyeing with natural dyes, dyeing of natural and synthetic fibres with synthetic dyes, garment dyeing, blends dyeing, novel textile dyeing Technologies.
Course Content General knowledge about textile dyeing, colour and colour fastness. Textile dyeing methods, textile machinery. Dyeing of Cellulosic fibers, protein fibers, synthetic fibers and blends. New developments and tecnologies on textile dyeing

1Students become aware of general information about textile dyeing
2Students become aware of colour and colour measurement and colour fastness tests
3Students become aware of natural dyeing and textile dyeing methods and textile dyeing machinery
4Students become aware of dyeing and dyeing methods of cellulose and protein fibres
5Students become aware of dyeing and dyeing methods of synthetic fibres
6Students become aware of dyeing and dyeing methods of blends, microfibers and fabrics containing elastane
7Students become aware new developments and tecnologies on textile dyeing
