Course Objective Students are expected to get information about functional textiles (FTs) and classification of FTs. Students are as well expected to get general information about architectural textiles, construction textiles, geotextiles, filtration textiles , military textiles, defense textiles, safety textiles, protective textiles, sports and recreation textiles, general industrial textiles, information about automotive textiles and general testing of automotive textiles.
Course Content Introduction to functional textiles and their classifications.

1Defines and explains definiton of FTs, basic terms of functional textiles (FT), and classification of FTs.
