Course Objective To understand the innovation and innovation management by discussing the product, process and / or technological innovation examples in the textile and apparel industry with the students. To emphasize the contribution to the circular economy with examples of recycling, waste utilization and sustainability.
Course Content -Innovation and innovation management and related basic concepts. -Discussion of innovation examples related to textile and apparel products, processes and / or technologies. -Digital transformation in textile and clothing. - Circular economy concept. -Recycling, reuse, upcycling and sustainability. -Slow fashion -Future trends in textiles and apparel in terms of natural environment, economy and society
