Course Objective To introduce combustion processes
Course Content Introduction to combustion, equivalence ratio calculations in combustion, combustion modes, generalized reaction equations, thermal-chemical equilibrium, complex chemical equilibrium and flame temperature calculations, reaction kinetics, detonation theories, ignition temperature and ignition delay, thermal detonation theory, chain reactions theory, modeling of complex kinetic reactions, conservation equations of multi-component reaction systems, flame, diffusion flame, evaporation and combustion of fuel droplets, ignition of premixed gases and detonation waves, air pollution due to combustion and environmental effects.
