The aim of this course is to enable the postgraduate students to learn the systematic design of machines.
Course Content
Course Content Significance of machine design, planning and design, basic viewpoints in machine design, specific processes in design, thinking processes in design, function – mechanism and structure, structure restrictions, function and form, force and strength, dimension, machining methods, materials, design and fabrication, design and information, design and patent, specific examples of design.
