Course Objective To provide information about understanding of methods of protein specification.
Course Content General introduction of protein synthesis, Purity determination methods, Size molecular weight and subunit analysis, Aminoacid analysis, peptide map, cofactor analysis and protein modifications analysis, crystallization methods, radioactive labelling methods, immunological anaysis (Western blot), structure anaysis

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Learns the concepts of amino acid, peptide and protein.
2Learns the qualitative and quantitative determination methods of proteins.
3Understands the principles of the methods used in the isolation and purification of proteins and purity tests.
4Learns how to perform sequence analysis of proteins. Understands how to identify proteins using chromatography-mass spectroscopy techniques.
