Course Content Principles of X-ray powder diffraction, Classification of hydrous layered silicates, Sample treatment methods for XRD discrimination of clays, XRD identification of clay minerals, Structural formula calculations, Quantitative XRD analysis of mineral mixtures, The geochemistry of clays, weathering reactions.
