Course Objective To introduce the properties of construction materials. To introduce the basic principles of choosing the groper materials for different constructions. To compute the cost of construction materials for different uses. To provide basic knowledge about experiments to help choose the right material different applications.
Course Content Concrete making materials, Portland Cement, Types of Cement, Properties of Aggregates, Concrete Mix Design, Mixing, Placing and Curing of Fresh Concrete, Test for Fresh and Hardened Concrete, Concreting at harsh climate conditions, Special Concretes .
