Course Objective To give the principles of geographical information systems (GIS) at advanced level and ability to apply GIS knowledge to different engineering problems by using various GIS softwares.
Course Content Introduction to geographical information systems (GIS); Gepgraphical Data and GIS, historical development; Representation of real world in GIS; Data input; Verification and storage; GIS tools; GIS analysis; Applications in engineering .

1Inputs data, performs analysis and evaluates the results for GIS applications
2Able to use various GIS software for project purposes
