Course Objective The main goal of this course is the understanding of the basic molecular genetic concepts and mechanisms.
Course Content Chromatin and Chromosomes; Organizations of DNA and RNA; Histones; Replication; DNA Repair; Splicing; Transcription; Translation; Gene Structure in Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes; Functions and Regulations of Genes; Regulation of Protein Synthesis.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to know the chromatin and chromosome structure.
2Will be able to know organisation DNA, RNA and histon proteins, and also to know how to work DNA replication mechanism.
3Will be able to know transcription and translation mechanism.
4Will be able to know structures and function of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genes.
5Will be able to know properties of protein synthesis.
6Will be able to know genetic engineering techniques.
