COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To provide information about the short history of parasitology, parasitic life forms, the ecologies of Parasite organisms, interspecific interactions in parasite communities, parasite destruction in the organisms (humans and animals), diagnosis, preparations and protection methods.
Course Content The general features of the Rhizopoda, Flagellata, Ciliata, Cnidosporidia and Sporozoa phylums and their ecology and parasitological effects; The morhology ecology and their parasitological effects of Platyhelminthes Nemathelminthes, Nematomorpha, Acanthocephala, Annelida and Arthropoda; The features of the vertebrate parasites and their effects; Interspecific interactions in parasite communities.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to know the general features of the Rhizopoda, Flagellata, Ciliata, Cnidosporidia and Sporozoa phylums and their ecology and parasitological effects.
2Will be able to know the general features of the Platyhelminthes Nemathelminthes, Nematomorpha, Acanthocephala, Annelida and Arthropoda groups and their parasitological effects.
3Will be able to know the morhologies of Platyhelminthes Nemathelminthes, Nematomorpha, Acanthocephala, Annelida and Arthropoda.
4Will be able to know the general features of the Platyhelminthes Nemathelminthes, Nematomorpha, Acanthocephala, Annelida and Arthropoda groups and their Ecology.
5Will be able to know the features of the vertebrate parasites and their effects.
6Will be able to know Interspecific interactions in parasite communities.
