Course Objective To give basic information about microbial biotechnology, and to explain the theory and practice of microbial products.
Course Content The course includes the following titles: Introduction, industrial products, fermentation, bacterial polyhydroxyalkanaotes, Archae, Rhizobium and biotechnology, Cyanobacteria and biotechnology, biofilms, bio-corrosion, exopolysaccharides, bio-protein, production of biogas, production of antibiotics, microbial degradation of petroleum and microbial degradation of pesticides.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to defines the basic principles of biotechnology and biotechnological processes.
2Will be able to identify the importance microorganisms in biotechnology.
3Will be able to explain the technical principles of industrial microbiology and fermentation.
4Will be able to describe the basic processes of microbial biotechnology.
5Will be able to give examples of microbial bio-product.
6Will be able to apply production of microbial biomass, primary and secondary metabolites production.
7Will be able to gain experience in the production of bio-products.
8Will be able to know used for microorganisms for solution of problems.
