COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide students to gain knowledge which is about preventing and improving healt of mother, fetus and newborn at prenatal, natal and postnatal period and to gain knowledge which is about early diagnosis, cure and care in abnormal health state and to use these knowledge in case discussion.
Course Content Reproduction health, safe motherhood, mother death in Türkiye and World, anatomy and physiology of reproductive system, physical and psychological cahnges in pregnancy, care of birth before, psychosocial adaptation of pregnancy, process and stages of birth action, pain control in birth action, improvment of conception and cenin.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students will be able to explain fundamental theoretical knowledge about prenatal, natal and postnatal health protection and promotion of the mother-fetus-newborn
2Students will be able to identify treatment and care problems at risky situations by using case discussions
3Planning initiatives about early diagnosis and care with using gained information and skill at mother, fetus and newborn health
4Discuss basic concepts about women's sexual and reproductive health issues that concern directly or indirectly
5Ability to realize sexual and reproductive health issues and affecting factors of women in Türkiye
6To be responsible with solving women's sexual and reproductive health problems
7To adopt nurse’s role and responsibilities to services that aimed strengthening women's reproductive health
8To collaborate with relevant persons, institutions and organizations to in order to make solutions women's sexual and reproductive health problems
