Course Objective This course aims to teach the student in-depth the physiopathology, classification, types, and evidence-based practices related to wound and stoma care.
Course Content Wound physiopathology, evaluation, factors affecting wound healing, nursing care in wound healing stages, pressure sores, pressure sores due to surgery, arterial wounds, venous wounds, neuropathic wounds, principles and evidence-based practices in burn wounds, wound care products, new technologies in wound care, the definition of stoma, the healing process, and evaluation, ostomy, its types, and nursing care principles, ostomy care products and new technologies in ostomy care and discussion of current guides related to these issues are discussed within the scope of the course content.
