Course Objective This course aims to enable the student to follow the developing technology in surgical nursing, to recognize innovations and to transfer these innovations to nursing care.
Course Content In the content of this course, the importance of current practices in surgical nursing, hybrid operating rooms, laser applications, programmed barcode infusion systems, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical interventions, minimally invasive surgical technique, robotic surgery, gamma knife, radio surgery, use of technology in surgical education, use of technology in wound care, Topics related to tele-medicine, tele-health, nanotechnology, simulation applications and the effects of technological developments in surgery on care, changing roles and responsibilities are included.
