COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	This course aims to make the student know the national and international standards in the operating room, the characteristics of the operating room, the preparation of the patient for the applications, the patient care and management in the operating room, and the current practices and ethical principles in the operating room.
Course Content	The history of the operating room, operating room design, decontamination, disinfection and sterilization, the duties, authorities, and responsibilities of the surgical team, preparation of the surgical team and the patient, anesthesia, surgical instruments, hemostasis and wound closure, waste management, ethical and legal issues in the operating room are covered within the scope of this course.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.
