COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Master's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective With this course, it is aimed to teach students the basic physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms that occur at the level of cells, organs and systems, and the pathophysiological changes that occur during the disease or surgical process by establishing a cause-effect relationship.
Course Content In the course included these issues; Basic concepts in physiopathology, cell biology, homeostasis, cell response to stress, injury and aging, adaptation, inflammation, shock and multi-organ failure, burn physiopathology, cell proliferation and tissue regeneration, cancer biology, genetic diseases physiopathology, pain, heat, sleep, sensory function and nutritional disorders.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Knows basic physiopathological subjects and concepts.
2Can define the physiopathological processes underlying the signs and symptoms of diseases by establishing a cause-effect relationship.
3Can evaluate the physiopathological mechanisms associated with the signs and symptoms/diagnosis/laboratory results encountered in clinical situations.
