Course Objective	This course aims to provide students with up-to-date and evidence-based in-depth information about the examination of the basic concepts and topics of Surgical Nursing, diseases that require surgery, their treatment, and nursing care management in the perioperative process.
Course Content	The content of this course includes nursing care of diseases that require surgery related to systems, basic concepts and nursing care in tissue and organ transplantation, oncological surgery, and surgical care of geriatric patients.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery	Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	To be able to explain the pre-, intra- and post-operative care needs in diseases requiring surgical intervention in line with current and evidence-based practices.
2	To be able to explain the roles and responsibilities of the oncological surgery nurse
3	To be able to discuss new and evidence-based knowledge in surgical nursing
4	To be able to have the theoretical knowledge to maintain the care of the geriatric patient undergoing surgery
