Course Objective The aim of this course is to enable the student to discuss psychosocial theories and concepts and transfer them to practice.
Course Content Holistic care, Trauma/crisis/crisis intervention/ posttraumatic growth, Culture/Mental Health/Culture and Mental Illness Relationship, General system theory, Social learning theory, Dissociation-attachment theory, Attribution theory (internal and external locus of control), - Psychosocial problems experienced by the sick individual, Psychosocial problems experienced by the family-caregiver, Health care workers (moral distress / transferance-contransference / violence / burnout / coping, Psychosocial assessment and diagnosis, Current psychosocial interventions, Psychosocial care systems (palliative care hospice), disaster psychology.
