Explain mechanisms involved in drug effects, drug-effect relationship,learning dose-effect relationship, putting forward various sinergistic and antagonistic drug effects.
Course Content
Mechanisms of direct and indirect drug effect Dynamics of drug receptor interaction Dynamic of dose effect; time course of effect, dose effect, maximum effect, efficacy and variability Dynamics of agonistic drug effect Dynamics of antagonistic drug efffect Reversible and irreversible drug efffects Quantification of drug effects; Lineweaver-Burke, Scatchard analysis, Schild equation, Hill equation, Gaddum theory, Eadie–Hofstee plot Tolerance models Dynamic of drug and disease interaction Disease of ion channels and receptors Dynamic of drugs toxic effects Pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic interaction
