Course Objective
The aim of this lecture is to understand the role of proteins in relation to function and structure in health and disesase. Students are expected to have knowledge of protein structure and function, to be competent to predict protein interactions in living cells. They are also expected to acquire skills to understand and propose hypotesis for possible protein interactions in living cells and clinical situations.
Course Content
The role of aminoacid sequence and tridimentional structure in signal transduction Improvement of skills for using protein data bases Contemporary methods and techniques for protein research; Theoretical aspects and experimental applications Targeting proteins for clinical diagnosis and treatment. .
