Course Objective Purpose of this course is to study and to explain the basic fundamentals of a system, problem solving techniques, how to analyze a system, its data and information structure using flow diagrams.
Course Content Computer-Aided Systems Engineering (CASE), Joint Application Design (JAD), Rapid Application Development (RAD), Agile and Object Oriented Systems Analysis and Design (OOSAD), IBM’s Rational Unified Process (RUP). Packaged software producers, enterprise-wide solutions (ERP), application and managed service providers (ASPs and MSPs), open-source and in-house developers. Project initiation and planning, project charter, baseline project plan (BPP), project scope statement (PSS). Data flow diagramming, structured English and decision tables, entity-relationship (E-R) diagramming, database design, logical and physical database design, form and report design
