COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	The main goals of this course are (1) to introduce students to the measurement theories that are used in test and scale development, (2) to help them learn the procedures used in developing and validating online and paper-and-pencil scales, (3) to familiarize them with the techniques used in applied psychometric analysis.
Course Content	After reviewing survey methodology, and statistical concepts that are necessary for learning measurement theories, classical test theory and latent variable models will ve covered at both conceptual and applied levels.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Learning about the measurement theories that are used in Online and Paper-and-Pencil tests, surveys, and scales
2	Reviewing the statistical concepts and techniques that are required for understanding measurement theories
3	Learning the logic and applications of modern measurement theories such as Item Response Theory, Generalizability Theory and Rasch Measurment Models
