Course Objective
In parallel with the developments in the tourism sector, this course aims to make students gain basic computer technology information and skills actively used in the field of tourism guidance. It also aims to provide students with the basic conceptual knowledge about computer systems by providing fundamental information systems and to acquire basic usage skills of operating systems and office application programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
Course Content
The concepts of basic information technology used in the field of tourism guidance, basic computer knowledge, fundamental computer hardware knowledge, basic level operating system knowledge, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, computer networks and internet usage, file and index organization, preparing contract via computer, preparation of documents, making presentations, generating tables, making reservations and invoicing process.
