Course Objective The aim of this course is to handle the usage of ancient myths that are prominent in 19th and 20th century French literature.
Course Content Following the fall course Ancient Myths in French Literature II, the ways and methods of literature and myths which are close interaction with each other, will be analyzed and especially the role of myths in French literature will be examined.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Handles the question from all aspects; why ancient myths were not much used in French Literature in 18th and 19th centuries.
2 Explicates basic approaches in the aspect of mythology that have influenced French Literature in 19th and especially 20th century.
3Learns why and how 20th century prominent genres and writers used ancient myths.
4Makes comparations by giving examples from the literary texts of the age and tries to find mythical references.
5Interprets the influence of ancient myths to the relation of form and content in the literary texts of the age.
