Course Objective The aim of this course is to analyze certain mythical figures and stories which are used in 16th and 17th French Literature.
Course Content This course aims to prepare the student to the analysis of French Literature's origin. Makes discussions about possible interactions between mythology and literature.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Explicates basic approaches that influence 16th and 17th century French literature in the aspect of mythology.
2Learns why and how 16th and 17th century prominent genres and writers used ancient myths.
3Makes comparations by giving examples from the literary texts of the age and tries to find mythical references.
4Interprets the influence of ancient myths to the relation of form and content in the literary texts of the age.
5 Handles the question; why drama was prominent as a genre in 17th century.
