Course Objective To learn Sakha (Yakut) Turks and their folk literatüre. Geography of Yakutia, different feature between other Turkısh communıty. This lesson aim to give information about Sakha mitology, Sakha Turks’ perception about world, humanity and government. In this way, students will be provided to recognize a distant Turkish community.
Course Content Place of Sakha Turks among the whole Turkısh culture. Research of Russıan scientists about Sakha Turks. System of belief, sahmanistic practices in Sakhas’ belief system. To explain relation between chaos and universe in Sakha mitology. To defne monotheistic religions and old belief systemfrom the perpective of Sakhas. To identify main elements of Sakha mitology and to evaluate relation between these elements.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Acquire new knowledge, concepts in the field of Folk Literature and, therefore, to gain the ability to perceive the relationships between knowledge and concepts.
2To be able to access resources of field folk literature, to gain the ability to use resources from scientific criteria.
3To be able to analyze, analyze, critique and interpret the information given in the Field Folk Literature, knowledge and thought world.
4To know the scientific methods in the Field of Folk Literature, to compile and to gain the ability to examine them.
5Getting information, hardware skills to deepen the knowledge in the field of Folk Literature and graduate studies.
6To know other disciplines in the area of ​​Folk Literature and compare comparative studies with Turkish Oral Literature, to analyze and analyze the whole body.
7To gain the ability to prepare cultural elements to national and universal, to prepare for new and up-to-date production with the knowledge gained in field public Literature.
8To gain the ability to transfer the acquired knowledge in a clear and easy way orally and in writing.
