Objectives of the course is to learn the Uyghur writing system and alphabet used by Turks by the early ages, to understand the social, economic, religious and linguistic reasons of this diverse range of alphabet adoptions and to read the Turkic historical texts written by this writing system.
Course Content
Scripts which were used to record the oldest Turkic language; Uighur alphabet, Turkish works recorded in these scripts; subject matters of these texts.
