Course Objective Ottoman State’s attitude towards foreign policy and its geography in the contemporary period including the decline and collapse of the dynasty will be discussed and explained thoroughly.
Course Content The content of this course will be organized around the following major themes: The political state of the Ottoman dynasty in the beginnings of the contemporary period, the foreign policy practices from III. Selim till the period of the decline. Especially, the politics of Russia, England ,France and the politics of the minorities will be researched thoroughly.
