Course Objective The aim of course is examining the terminology of Art History and the similarities and differences between Art History and the closely related disciplines and have information about the evaluation of the works of art and architecture with the scientific methods and techniques

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to have information about the terminology of Art History and understand the concepts of style.
2Will be able to know the relationship between History, Archaeology and Art History and compare the similarities and differences between the discipline of Art History and the closely related disciplines.
3Will be able to define the development of Turkish Art before the Emergence of Islam and the influences of the Pre-İslamic Turkish Art during the Islamic periods.
4Will be able to have information about the introduction of the tent art in Central Asia and interpret its connection with the development of dome.
5Will be able to know The Carpet of Pazarık and define its effects on the Art of Weaving.
6Will be able to explain the Animal Style.
7Will be able to know the reflactions of the Central Asian Art.
8Will be able to describe the origin of the geometrik and floral ornamentations and have information about the arts of ornametation in Turkish Art after Central Asia.
9Will be able to explain the contributions of the watch towers in the introduction of the minarets.
10Will be able to examine the handicrafts and their reflections on the art during the Seljuk and Ottoman periods.
11Will be able to describe and the reflections of Central Asian figural representations on the Seljuk and Ottoman tiles and miniature paintings.
12Will be able to know the acceptance of Islam, the Art in the Islamic States and the Early Islamic Art works.
13Will be able to examine the developments of Kharahanid and Ghaznawid Art and their influences on art of the following periods.
15Will be able to examine the developments of Abbasid, Ayyubid and Mamluq Art and their influences on art of the following periods.
