Course Objective That course deals with the influential approaches of contemporary theories in public administration and related disciplines.
Course Content These approaches have been listed as follow: 1) Administrative process approach/school, experimental approach/school; 2) behavioral approach/school, 3) bureaucratic analysis school, 4 )social system approach/school, 5) decision-making approach/school, 6)system approach. Public administration theories within the scope of that course are; 1) New public Management, 2) new public administration, 3) public administration crisis (identity, legitimacy), 4) new right and state restructuring, 5) public choice theory, 6) modernism and post-modernism within the public administration perspective, 7) post-bureaucracy and post-fordism, 8) chaos and complexity, 9) critical theory, 10) globalization and governance, 11) public administration schools / approaches.
