Course Content The location, the importance in its region and the historical development of Ephesus will be evaluated. The city plan, the chronology and architectural plans of the buildings will be studied. Conclusions of excavations and researches held in Ephesus will be explained. The lesson will be supported by visual material.

2Research history and archaeology of Ephesos from Neolithic to end of the Bronze Age
3Investigate relationship with Hittite with realm of Apasas
4Research the colonization process of Ephesos by Greeks and compare other Ionian cities
5Research Archaic and Classical Period city pattern with architecture and pottery finds
6Know Hellenistic and Roman Period city
