Course Objective The primary aim of this course is to comprehend the importance of legislative assemblies, which have become an almost sine qua non institution in modern states, regardless of which government system they have adopted, and which are the institutions where the people's representation is ensured. In this direction, within the scope of the course, it is aimed to determine the general and current problems of Turkish Parliamentary Law and to reach solutions with discussions about these problems.
Course Content In general, within the scope of this course, after examining the meaning, importance and development of the Parliament, the development and sources of Turkish Parliamentary Law and the basic concepts and basic institutions related to the Turkish Grand National Assembly will be discussed. In this context, legislative procedures and lawmaking process, the ways of TGNA controls on the government and the effectiveness of these ways are also among the important topics of this course.
