COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	Being knowledgeable about Roman Law, Roman Property Law and Debt Law which is a source of Turkish Law
Course Content	In law of persons types of capacity are discussed. In law of obligations sources of liability, and specifically contracts and torts are examined. In law of things subjects such as the concept of property right, possession, acquisition and protection of property are covered.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Getting familiar with the concepts of Roman Law.
2	Being able to distinguish private law-public law branches (which is one of the contribution of Roman Law to the modern legal systems).
3	To be able to apply the rules of law for the settlement of disputes and to identify elements forming a legal relationship.
4	To be able to relate legal concepts in Roman law to modern law.
