COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	This course is to acquaint the Nursing Division students with fundamental facts and concepts of birth and women diseases nursing and to familiarize them with the importance of knowing the fundamental principles of this field.
Course Content	Introduction to delivery, women health nursing, Anatomy of reproductive system, Physiology of reproductive system, Physiology of pregnancy, Maternal physiology at pregnancy, Prenatal care, Nutrition at pregnancy, Assesment of fetal health, Pregnancy with risk, labor, maternal care at labor, Labor with risk, Physiology of newborn, Required spesific care newborn, Postpartum period, Compliance and assesment to postpartum period, Lactation period, The conditions with risk at postpartum period, Psyco-social and cultural dimension of pregnancy, Reproductive cycle anomalies, Circuits of women life, Contraseptive methods, Infertility, Structural and functional disorders of reproductive organs, Bening gynecologic cancers, Gynecologic cancers, Diagnosis and therapy methods at gynecology.
Prerequisites	SBH 211 INTERNAL DISEASE NURSING veya SBH 210 SURGICAL NURSING
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Students define woman health problems and factors that effecting woman health (political, economical etc.)
2	Students know protection practices of womens health
3	Students evaulate women and family with holistic approach
4	Students use appropriate personel nursing approach at prenatal, childbirth and postpartum period
5	Students know woman dessease and they use appropriate personel nursing approach for woman dessease
6	Students follow updated and evidence based practice about childbirth and woman dessease
7	Students use effective comminication with woman, family and health team
