COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Acquire general information about drugs(classification, mechanism of action, adverse effects) and have a detailed understanding of pharmacology with disease.
Course Content Introduction to pharmacology and basic principles, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Drug formulations and routes for administering drugs, Preparing solutions, Introduction to autonomic nervous sysytem, Drugs and parasympathetic system, Drugs and sympathetic system, Cardiovascular system ( Cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmics, diuretics), Antibiotics, Antiseptic agents, Introduction to central nervous system, Sedative and hypnotic agents, Alcohol, Drugs use in Anesthesia, Muscle relaxants, NSAID, Drugs in pregnant and breast feeding women, Drugs and the elderly, Pharmacology of endocrine system .
