Course Objective In this course the student; nursing care plan for all nursing initiative for conducting to know some basic health assessment methods and ability to use it is intended to win.
Course Content Physical examination and nursing care, Data collection for nursing care, Physical examination methods (Inspection, olfaction, palpation, percussion, auscultation). Cutaneous/ skın examination, Head and neck examination, Lung and thorax examination, Heart and vascular system examination, Abdomen examination, Nervous system examination, Skeletal and muscular system examination, Ears, nose and throat examination, Eyes examination
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Explain the relationship between nursing care and physical examination methods
2Define the concepts about physical examination methods
3Apply inspection, palpation, and percussion
4Examine all systems (skin, lungs and the thorax, heart, etc.) physically
5Gather data appropriate for data collection principles which is about the process of basic nursing care
6Engage in the process of critical thinking
7Assess herself with the environment as a whole during the applications
8Describe effective communication methods. Exhibit good communication skills towards individuals and other health care professionals may exhibit
9Maintain the continuity of nursing process and nursing care
10Define nurses’ role in the health system and know her role as a prospective nurse
11Apply professional ethics that shape the direction of Nursing Practice
